The University Of Madras

The University of Madras has completed 150 glorious years. It is an educational institution par excellence. It has served as an institution for several generations of proud Indians.
It is one place where time seems to be moving at a slow pace. This University has produced noble laureates like C.V.Raman and Subramanian Chandrashekar, besides various other achievers from diverse fields like film director Mani Ratnam.

Two departments which are unique to this University are the department of Vaishnavism where the average age of students is between 45 and 80. The other one is the
Department of Foreign Languages. Mr.S. Ramachandran is the Vice Chancellor.
